You have slandered us with justice and giving favors,
You promised us patience and kindness

You treated Homs and its people with kindness,

Then you showed them the power of the Almighty,
and peace-loving pardon, prior

you bestowed upon them life, and they became
Your loyalists have won from you with manna and free liberation
And the loyalty of those freed from apostasy,
outweighs the loyalty of those freed from slavery
You remained the Commander of the Faithful for a nation,
You have taken the path to the truth
With your face you prepare for eternity, whenever
offended, as your grandfather used to water
